- VVITA VR Therapy -
Project Description
VVITA is a new generation of interactive therapy space - a playful, expressive environment where therapist and patient explore and cooperate - was designed to help treat patients with phantom limb pain incurred as a result of amputation. Additionally, VVITA prepares and trains patients for the reception of a new advanced prosthetic limb through its integration fo a special myocontroller (muscle sensor). This controller is also used in the eventual prosthetic a player receives after therapy - players will already be familiar with how to operate it.
I worked on the VVITA Project as a designer and 3D artist in collaboration with NEEEU.IO - a Berlin based art and creative technology studio, and their partners at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
You can read NEEEU’s report on the project here.
