Project Description
Purple Friday is a highy sensory, narrative driven, puzzle-exploration game made with sightless or visually imparied players in mind. Using binaural and spacialised audio, players discover a colorful, humorous, and often philosophical sci-fi world where time travel not only exists, but is powered by a powerfully lime flavored soda.
I worked on Purple Friday as a writer, game designer, and co-creative lead in collaboration with NEEEU.IO - a Berlin based art and creative technology studio.
Purple Friday is currently still in development, pending a release date.

Project Role
As co-creative lead on Purple Friday, I developed and guiding the vision for the game. This included early gameplay ideation, story ideation, and being involved with the sound/audio style for the game. As I focused on more specific production roles, I made sure the separate elements of the game would combine into a holistically sound whole.
I wrote the characters, story arcs, and dialogue for the game - determining the overall tone and feel of the experience. The final product of this process was a series of detailed script documents that contained character lines, audio and character “stage directions”, gamepay notes, and detailed interactive breakdowns of game scenes.
After writing the scripts, I directed our voice actors in performing the recordings for the game.
As the game designer on the project, I generated ideas for puzzles, locations, game mechanics, and level flow, before completing all the level and interactivity designs in step with the writing process.
